Study of the Precambrian: Methodology, Principles and Results

The paper analyses the dependence of methodology, principles and results of study of Precambrian formations on the changing views of researchers on the similarity and difference of the Precambrian and Phanerosoic. A necessity of a systematic approach to solve these problems is substantiated. This approach allows one to gain insight into the causations and consequences of such processes as formation and transformation of rocks and ores, as well as the resulting geological bodies and tectonic structures. No matter what their age is, or what is inferred about their origin.

To the creation of the time and event model of an aeonothem

The empirically substantiated notions on the absence of gold deposits relation to specific geological formations and on the deep mantle source of the metal have been presented in the paper. The complex structural-formational approach has been suggested for efficient prediction basing on the analysis of the available data. The approach incorporates the hierarchy of controlling factors and the newest ideas from the field of fault tectonics.
